Teaching Experience


Saxophone Instructor - Austin Area School Districts

​2012 - present


Instructed students grades 6-12 in saxophone from fundamentals through advanced repertoire. Designed weekly lesson plan. Prepared students for regional and statewide competitions. Lead chamber ensemble workshops with middle and high school students. Organized annual studio recital.



Director of Winds - Tempe Preparatory Academy

​2010 - 2012


Started wind band program with grades 6-12. Conducted weekly rehearsals and prepared group for two annual concerts. Arranged classical and popular music for ensemble members. Worked with department head in designing and implementing curriculum.

Private Music Teacher

Instructed students ages on fundamentals of flute. Instructed beginner, intermediate, and advanced saxophonists. Prepared students for regional honor band, classical and jazz statewide competitions. Led chamber ensemble workshops with middle and high school students.



Aural Skills Teaching Assistant - University of Massachusetts, Amherst



Spring 2010 Aural Skills II (MUS115), Fall 2009 Aural Skills (MUS114).  Prepared students for quizzes and exams in basic and intermediate sight-singing. Graded homework assignments and led weekly aural dictation sessions. Instructed students in semester review sessions.
